Find a specific legal case in Westlaw

Westlaw is the library's largest database for legal research.

  1. Log in to the Westlaw database.
  2. Type your search terms in the large box at the top of the screen. You may search by party names or citation. For example, let's find a famous case known as Miranda v. Arizona.
  3. When we get our results, matching cases will appear on the right half of the page. Often the case you want will be the first one or two listed.
