Eileen Condon leads all aspects of operations and programming in Webster’s global library network, whose mission is to empower Webster’s diverse, global community of students, faculty, staff, and alumni to fulfill their research, learning, and information needs now and in the future. She oversees development, provision, and management of library resources, collections, and services. She collaborates with the leadership teams and librarians at the overseas campuses to ensure an excellent library experience for students and faculty throughout the network. She also coordinates with staff at Eden Theological Seminary on the operation of the Webster-Eden Library System, a cooperative program supporting the teaching, research and intellectual pursuits of the Webster University and Eden Theological Seminary communities. Eileen serves as editor of the Webster University Press, managing the existing catalog and acquisition and publication of new titles.
Since 2018, Eileen has served on the board of MOBIUS, a multistate partnership of libraries providing access to shared information resources, services, and expertise. She served as President-Elect/President/Past President of the MOBIUS board in 2019-2022, and is currently serving a second one-year term as Board Secretary.
In 2024, Eileen was appointed to a one-year term on the board of Amigos Library Services, a not-for-profit membership-based organization which provides libraries with continuing education, member discounts, and professional advice.
Condon holds a Master of Library and Information Science from the University of Missouri-Columbia, and a Bachelor of Arts in English with a minor in Spanish from Truman State University. She has been with Webster since 1992.
As the Director of Library Instruction and Research Services at Webster University Libraries, Holly Hubenschmidt oversees collection development, instruction, faculty research support, and reference services. She serves as Liaison to the Departments of Nursing and Nurse Anesthesia. Holly leads a team of professional librarians that manage the library website; outreach and communication; assessment; faculty and student research services; the University Archives; and instruction ranging from classroom instruction to webinars to recorded videos and tutorials. She provides training and support to the library teams at Webster University campuses internationally. Holly chairs the Webster University Book Club and is currently the Associate Chair for the Webster Staff Alliance.
Holly is a 2013 fellow of the Webster University Global Leadership Academy and served as the Academy’s co-director from 2014-2017. She is an adjunct faculty member at Webster teaching several classes in the Global Citizenship Program and Webster 101.
In service to the medical librarian profession, she has served in various roles with Medical Library Association (MLA) including chair of the Nursing and Allied Health Resources Section and chair of the Midcontinental Chapter of MLA. She was a co-convener of the Global Library Services Discussion Group for the Assocation of College and Research Libraries (ACRL) and served on the Continuing Development and Workplace Learning Section of the International Federation of Library Associations (IFLA.)
Holly holds a Bachelor of Arts in Russian Language and Literature from Washington University in St. Louis and a Master of Library Science from the University of Missouri – Columbia. She has worked at Webster University Library since 1992.
She believes librarianship is the best career in the world.
Heidi Vix is Director of Library Resources and Access Services. In this role, she combined the Access Services Department with the Technical Services Department. She provides leadership in all aspects of acquisition, cataloging, processing, and enabling the use of the library’s physical and digital collection. She works closely with the library management team to develop and carry out the strategic plan, library guidelines, and staffing plans. She also works directly with the international librarians to support them as they use the Integrated Library System. This allows all libraries to perform the necessary library functions regardless of location. She is the Library Gift Coordinator and works with donors. She is active with the library’s fundraising efforts; In 2023, she led the library building’s 20th Anniversary campaign.
Heidi served on the Higher Learning Commission Accreditation Team for Webster University. This team was responsible for crafting the necessary documentation and gathering data to address each accreditation criterion set forth by the commission. Through their collective efforts, they were able to secure the reaccreditation of Webster University, which will remain in effect from 2018 through 2028.
Heidi earned her Master of Library Science from Indiana University and her Bachelor of International Studies with a minor in German from Hanover College. She has been with Webster University since 2011.
