Mendeley is a reference/citation manager with web-based or desktop versions. You can sync your citation library between these different versions and across different devices.
You can purchase more personal storage only by upgrading your account. Upgrades are for personal storage and aren't available for shared web space.

Download Mendeley Reference Manager for Desktop

Install the Mendeley Web Importer

Install Mendeley Cite
The Mendeley Cite add-in for Microsoft Word allows you to insert citations and bibliographies into your Microsoft 365, Microsoft Word 2016 (or higher) or Microsoft Word app for iPad.
Use Mendeley through the browser
Even if you are on a computer where Mendeley Reference Manager is not installed, you can still access your saved articles by logging into your account through the browser.

Mendeley has updated its desktop app and Word plugins. What used to be known as Mendeley Desktop and the Citation Plugin are now Mendeley Reference Manager and Mendeley Cite.
Citation Plugin
The old(er) Desktop app and Citation Plugin are still available for those using pre-2016 versions of Microsoft Word on the desktop.
