If you are required to use counseling journals in your assignment, follow the steps below to find articles from American Counseling Association (ACA) publications. This will allow you to search all the ACA journals in the APA PsycInfo database.

1. Log in to the APA PsycInfo database
2. In the top search box, type "American Counseling Assn" 
   Note use quotation marks and do not use a period to abbreviate Assn
3. In the drop-down list next to the search box, select PB publisher
4. To focus your search, include a topic in the search box directly below and press the Search button
   Example of a topic: grief

The ERIC database covers only a few of the journals published by the American Counseling Association:

• Adultspan
• Career Development Quarterly
• Family Journal: Counseling and Therapy for Couples and Families

You will need to search each title individually. Here's how:

1. Log in to the ERIC database
2. In the search box, type the journal title enclosed in quotation marks
   Example: "Family Journal"
3. In the drop-down list, select SO Journal Title 
4. To focus your search, include a topic in the search box directly below and press the Search button
   Example of a topic: substance abuse
