The description below provides some basic information about the origin of the collection, the materials available, and any restrictions in use that are in place. Note that the list of materials may not be complete as items may be added to the archives throughout the year. Use of the Webster Archives is by appointment only. Administrative/Biographical History

See our Loretto-Hilton Center page for an overview of the building's history. Information on the history of the Conservatory of Theatre Arts and the Repertory Theatre of St. Louis is also available.

Scope/Content

Includes miscellaneous materials related to the Center, especially as regards the groundbreaking ceremony and official dedication. Numerous articles that appeared in the local press and in national publications are included. Also has letters from Conrad Hilton to college officials and students, as well as information about Mr. Hilton's personal assistant, Olive D. Wakeman. Note that the emphasis on this record series is the opening of the facility itself.
