Opening: October 19, 2015
Dedication: October 20, 2017

The building at 200 Hazel Avenue has been used for a variety of purposes since it was acquired by the university in the early 1990s. For many years, it housed staff of the Community Music School which later opened its own building in 2007. In 2015, the Hazel building was designated for use by the Student Veterans Organization which had formed just a few years earlier.

In 2017, the Center was renamed for Tom Palozola, a 2015 graduate of Webster University. Palozola was a Marine Corps veteran of Iraq and Afghanistan. He also received the Purple Heart for his service in Iraq. Palozola formerly served as president of the university's Student Veterans Organization and was instrumental in securing a grant from the Home Depot Foundation to furnish the Center. Palozola died in 2017.
