Our audiovisual collection consists of videotapes, DVDs, CDs, CD-ROMs, DVD-ROMs, LP records, laser discs, 16mm films, etc. Each AV item in our collection is listed in the library catalog. All media materials, with the exception of 16mm films are shelved on the first floor of the Emerson Library at Webster University.
We encourage Webster and Eden faculty to reserve media materials to show in their classes as far in advance as possible by contacting Rick Kaeser, the Emerson Library Document Delivery/AV Assistant, by phone (314) 968-5994 or e-mail: av@webster.edu. Webster and Eden faculty may also reserve media materials by filling out our DVD and Videotape Reservations Form. Because faculty at Webster University’s sites throughout the U.S. use DVDs and videotapes from our collection as teaching tools, those faculty who make their reservations as early as possible are most likely to have access to the DVDs or videotapes they wish to use when they need to use them. It’s not unreasonable to make your reservations an entire term in advance. Please reserve early and often (no less than two weeks in advance for extended campus reservations).
A general public user may view or listen to audiovisual materials from our collection in Emerson Library after leaving his or her photo I.D. card at the first floor Circulation Desk. Any member of the public who has further questions about these privileges should call the Emerson Library Circulation Desk at (314) 968-6952.
