Insure Your Privacy

A guide to safe computing in the Emerson Library eCafe and eCommons

To ensure that your computing experience is safe and worry free, please follow these 4 important guidelines.

  1. Sign off after using web services that require a username and password.
    Yahoo Log Off

    Hotmail Log Out

    AIM Log Off

  2. Do not leave your computer unattended when logged into web services. Examples include web email, instant messengers, etc.
  3. Delete personal files from the opac H: drive if you wish that no one views them.

    Delete Files on H: Drive

  4. RESTART your computer before leaving to ultimately insure that no one has access to your information.
