Finding materials in the Eden-Webster Library System

The Eden-Webster Library System includes the Luhr Library at Eden Theological Seminary and Webster University Library. Materials by subject area

The library catalog lists all the books, periodicals, and media materials available at the libraries. Users can do basic searches by author, title, subject, and can also search selected other fields such as call number, publisher, etc.. All materials on in-house reserve for individual classes are listed as well.

Much of the religion and theology collection is located at the Luhr Library on the Eden Theological Seminary campus, with the rest of the collection in other subject areas available at Webster University Library. There are exceptions to this rule, however, so we recommend you check in the library catalog for the specific items you want. In the catalog the library location for each book, video, or periodical is provided.

Materials by call number

The libraries use the Library of Congress Classification System to arrange the books on the shelves. The call number for a book will begin with a letter or letters representing one of the following broad subject areas:
