Dr. Ray Cummiskey, President
Jefferson College

Dr. Cummiskey is the seventh president of Jefferson College. Under his leadership, the institution has experienced significant enrollment growth and expansion of educational sites and facilities in Imperial, Arnold, and Cedar Hill. The college has additionally created a fully online virtual campus, implemented a long-range strategic planning process, and instituted a variety of new healthcare-related training programs. Prior to joining Jefferson College, Dr. Cummiskey served as President of Southeastern Illinois College in Harrisburg from 2004-2009, Executive Vice President for Academic and Student Affairs at Jefferson Community College in Steubenville, Ohio, from 1998-2004, as Associate Vice President at Neosho County Community College in Ottawa, Kansas, and as Chair of the Division of Humanities and Performing Arts at Park College (now University) in Kansas City, Missouri, where he also held a tenured faculty position as an Associate Professor of Communication Arts.

Dr. Cummiskey earned a Ph.D. in Education Administration-Higher Education with a concentration in communication and business, and both an Ed.S. in Education Administration and a M.A. in Communication Studies from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. Additionally, he received his B.A. in Communication Arts and English from Park College in Kansas City.
