Article Linker

Article Linker is a feature that connects the user to full-text articles. The articles may be available in electronic format from an online database and/or in paper (print) format at the Webster University Library or the Eden Theological Seminary Luhr Reading & Reference Library Reading & Reference Library.

If the database you have searched does not contain the full-text article, you may see a link to Article Linker. Clicking on the link will initiate a search for the article availability in other library databases or on the library shelves.
Interpreting the results: If you get “Article” under “Go to” The article is available electronically in an online database.
In most cases when you click on the “Article” link, you will get the full-text article. Occasionally when you click on the "Article" link you may be directed to the main search screen of a database, not to the individual article. When this happens, you will need to search the database for the article.
If you get “Journal” under “Go to” The specific article may be available online or in print at one of the libraries.
Online If the article is online, the online database name will be listed under "Database name/Location". In most cases, if you click on "Journal", you will be sent to the complete journal that contains the article and you will need to find the article within the volume. It is helpful to copy down the author and title of the article, the journal name, and publication information, such as volume, date, pages, etc.
Not online Some articles may be in periodicals or microfilm available only in the library at Webster University or Eden Seminary. Clicking the "Journal" link will display a list of the individual volumes that are owned by the library and where the volumes can be found. Copy down the author and title of the article, the name of the journal, plus volume, issue, and page numbers in order to find the volume on the library shelf or to request the article.
To obtain the article: Webster extended campuses and online degree programs: Use Document Delivery Service Webster and Eden Seminary students, faculty, and staff in the St. Louis area: Visit the library where the volumes are shelved. Students enrolled in the Eden Seminary D.Min. program or in an online course and who do not live in the St. Louis area should contact Michael Boddy, Directory of the Luhr Reading & Reference Library (314) 252-3130, toll-free (800) 969-3627 or by e-mail.
If you get “library does not have this article” Some articles may not be available online or at either library. Webster and Eden Seminary students, faculty, and staff may order copies of articles as follows:
