Printing on different types of papers

When you need to print on different types of papers or use different paper sizes, you will need to change the paper source (which tray the printer pulls the paper from) and/or the paper size.

  • The print stations do not have legal paper preloaded into the printers.
  • If you need to print to legal size paper, you will need to ask at the service desk for the paper and then load the paper into Tray 1 and then change the paper source for your document to Tray1.
  • The library does not furnish speciality papers.
  • If you want to print to colored or bond paper, you may bring the paper into the library and load the paper into Tray 1 and change the paper source for your document to Tray 1.
To change the paper source:

For example: print on letter size colored or bond paper

  1. Choose  Print
  2. then  Preference or Properties depending on the program
  3. then  Paper Source: Tray 1
  4. Insert paper into Tray 1 of the printer
To change the paper size ALSO:

For example: printing on LEGAL size paper (8½”x14”)

  1. Choose  Print
  2. then  Preference or Properties depending on the program
  3. then  Paper Source: Tray 1
  4. then  Paper Size: Legal
  5. Insert paper into Tray 1 of the printer
