First Male Graduates at Webster University

Webster University was an all-women's institution until it began to admit men on a limited basis in 1962. Initially men were only allowed to enroll in classes in the arts so it is not surprising that the first two male graduates had degrees in music and art. The first men to graduate from Webster did so in 1964. They were:

 James Ryan

James Terrance Ryan, Bachelor of Music

 Daniel Coughlin

B. Daniel Coughlin, Bachelor of Arts in Art
