Catherine J. Carroll, First Webster Student Admitted to SLU Medical School

[Catherine J. Carroll]

St. Louis University School of Medicine began admitting women in 1948. One of only two women in that class was a Webster graduate, Catherine J. Carroll (class of 1942). After graduating from Webster, Carroll earned her M.A. degree in bacteriology from SLU. She went on to become a pediatrician.
