Top Ten Things You Might Not Know about the Webster University Library

  1. We want to hear from you! Students can make suggestions by using our online suggestion form or the suggestion box at the front desk; faculty can submit materials requests through their departments to their library liaison and may use the online form or suggestion box at the front desk for general requests.
  2. We offer a Faculty Research Service to assist Webster University faculty with research for publication or classes and institutional research.
  3. We have moved eReserves to WorldClassRoom, but the service remains the same. We will help faculty post course syllabi, articles, web links, and other information for their students to their WorldClassRoom course. Students will access eReserves in WorldClassRoom along with their other course materials for a more seamless experience. For more information see the library's eReserves page.
  4. It may be easier to find an available computer in the library than you think! While the eCommons and Café are often busy, there are often computers available in our Lower level near the north elevator. In addition, the computers in the eClassroom on the first floor are available when the room is not being used for a class.
  5. We have developed a series of webinars and tutorials to help you use library resources for your research.
  6. We have developed extensive research guides on subjects from Art to Zombies, and we probably have one that will help with your research.
  7. We offer an extensive collection of eBooks.
  8. You can now check the status of your interlibrary loan and document delivery requests using ILLIAD.
  9. Article Linker is not the end! If an article is not available in full-text in the database you've searched, click on the Article Linker button to search for the article in one of our other databases and our print collection. If the article is not available, Article Linker will take you to a screen where you can request it.
  10. We are here to help! For assistance with using library resources or doing research, call the Reference desk at 314-968-6950 or toll free at 800-985-4279, or use our Ask a Librarian service. For questions about borrowing or obtaining materials, contact the front desk at 314-968-6952 or toll free at 800-985-4279.
